hope u r have a great day... question... i am new to the industry... studying/taking the exam for the first time... the book is huge... the terms and concepts are scary... whats the best way to wrap my brain around all this information in order to do well on the actual exam...

ps... reading the chapters and taking the practice exams.... does not seem as if it is doing the trick... the practice exam questions are not typically as straight forward as i assumed that they would be.... and reading the chapter almost seem like a waste of time... in reference to answering the questions... (in addition...are the questions in the practice test a pretty good indicator of the types of questions (ref. format/ material weight) on the actual exam.

Tania...thank you for your message.

Yes, starting new can be daunting just as any new quest we pursue.

Within your course instructions you have course objectives, descriptions for each study unit, and a calendar to build out according to your schedule.

Additionally, you have module objectives, key terms and key concepts within each module. The quiz at the end of each module is to reinforce the key concepts and confirm your knowledge and skills for the content.

These two methods build simultaneously to provide you the participant support and direction as to what you should be able to do once you complete these steps.

Additionally, AFAA has this forum process (you used great!) and the Multitraining Live sessions for additional assistance. So say for example you need further clarification on Module 3 Anatomy and Kinesiology you can review the chapter, participate in a Multitraining Live session and actually go through the skill sets with an instructor. With this suppport participants are then able to back to the chapter re-read and pass their quiz with no problems.

AFAA recognizes that participants learn differently, audio (hearing), visual (seeing) and kinesthic (moving). From your comments I would recommend particpation in the Multitraing Live session(s).

As the instructor of this course please continue your posts or send me an e-mail.
