In reviewing the risk factors they mentioned a term first degree relative.I am unfamiliar with this term and did not find it in the glossary.Can you help me out?

According to the University of Washington and Children's Health System a first-degree relative can be defined as any relative who is one meiosis away from a particular individual in a family (i.e., parent, sibling, offspring).
